Faunistic list of the calanoid copepods (Copepoda: Calanoida) of the Gulf of Mexico: Zoogeographic considerations

Abstract
A list of 107 calanoid copepod species collected at 114 sampling stations visited during two oceanographic cruises carried out in the Gulf of Mexico is presented. The ecological and biogeographic affinities, bathymetric distribution and main previous reports in the Gulf of Mexico and adjacent zones are indicated for each species. Some general considerations are made in regard to the copepod fauna in the surveyed area.
