Abstract
Se registra la anidación de aves acuáticas en la Ensenada de La Paz, de 1992 a 1994. Se contabilizaron 13 especies anidantes: Ardea herodias, Bubulcus ibis, Egretta rufescens, E. thula, E. tricolor, E. caerulea, Nyctanassa violacea, Nycticorax nycticorax, Eudocimus albus, Butorides striatus, Rallus limicola, Charardius wilsonia y Sterna antillarum. Los lugares más importantes para la anidación fueron los manglares El Conchalito y CETMAR, donde se registraron 11 especies. Se observó una disminución paulatina del número de nidos de varias especies.
Water birds nesting in Ensenada de La Paz were recorded from 1992 to 1994. Thirteen nesting species were observed: Ardea herodias, Bubulcus ibis, Egretta rufescens, E. thula, E. tricolor, E. caerulen, Nyctanassa violacea, Nycticorax nycticorax, Eudocimus albus, Butorides striatus, Rallus limicola, Charardius wilsonia and Sterna antillarum. The most important nesting sites were the mangrove forests of El Conchalito and CETMAR, where 11 species were recorded. A gradual decrease in the number of nests of several species was observed.
